It's a Macro World after all

Hello everyone! I have a small confession to make. I was originally going to write about a different topic, however, last Friday I acquired a brand new Toy! For some time now I had been saving up and trying to get myself a new Macro lens. Well, you guessed it right. I finally had enough to get it and my hands were just itching to use it. So what a better excuse to play with it than with a Blog Post!

Have you ever been curious about what things really look like up close? It’s almost as if there are tiny little worlds just hidden away in items we use every day, or even in some of those fancy decorations we have around the home.

So why don’t we join our little explorer here as he guides us in this new adventure! First stop, a brass chain. This particular chain came from India, and they’re mainly used to decorate elephants’ feet during important events like weddings—yes, this is an elephant’s ankle bracelet!

Next stop, we find ourselves in front of a decent chunk of green quartz. It sort of resembles a far off world from a sci-fi movie or TV show. Any Stargate SG-1 fans out there? Reminds me of the “Cold Lazarus” episode where they find a sentient Crystal and bring it back to earth. And if that just went over your head, then no worries. Just enjoy the imagery! =D

Hmm… I wonder where our little friend went? After touching the quartz we were instantly teleported to what appears to be a world either under water, or in the middle of some hostile environment. No worries though, in reality this is just a few Asian figurines inside an emerald green Murano glass bowl. I really like the effect it gives them, almost hypnotizing.

I just received word that our little guy has been taken hostage by none other than Pennywise from IT! However, we have nothing to fear, Link is on his way to rescue him! Hehe!

I really like how the inside of this pint glass looks. It gives you a pretty surreal feeling, almost as if Link was being sucked into some dark portal where Pennywise is waiting.

What did you think? Were you able to imagine yourself in a different place outside your normal one? Or perhaps you came up with your own imaginary place as we were being guided around. I’d love to hear about it!

As always, thank you for stopping by, and hope you enjoyed this journey across all the different tiny worlds we explored. If you’d like to take a look at some Behind-the-Scenes shots, check out my Instagram Page. Please stay safe, take care of yourselves and see you again in two weeks!
